Pavilion Noir is an artwork in which the artist reinterprets the traditional Korean jeongja as the most spatial form of furniture. Its essential components—roof and pillars—are replaced with modern architectural materials such as H-beams and steel pipes.

Installed within the high-ceilinged first floor of Galerie Noir, the work introduces a new roof and ceiling into the space, creating a “space within a space.”

Walking through this structure transforms the act of movement into an event that redefines the relationship between furniture and the human.
